- Introduce normalizePathToForward/normalizePathToBackward helpers in render_format_methods.js
- Replace inline path normalization regex across 6 files with shared helpers
- Extract executeOptionsTask helper in options_methods.js to deduplicate repeated async loading/error/success handling and add missing error notifications
