macOS is not a popular ComfyUI platform. Drop the macOS legs from the
portability workflow and its native-trash proof; Windows keeps its
Python 3.12-3.14 legs. The macOS code stays, and README calls its
support best-effort.
Closes#571
* feat(images): move deleted image files to the macOS Trash (#499)
Trash mode on macOS now calls -[NSFileManager trashItemAtURL:resultingItemURL:error:]
through ctypes (no dependency), in utils/trash_macos.py. Before any move it refuses
what it cannot show to be recoverable, already in the review dialog: network
volumes, read-only volumes, iCloud Drive and File Provider folders (cloud-sync),
a trash folder inside an output root (by file identity), and files macOS would
refuse for permission (no-permission). A refused move keeps the file and logs the
NSError; a move macOS reports done but whose place cannot be shown goes under
errors as trash-unconfirmed, keeps its records and stops the job.
The native proof runs in portability.yml's new native-trash job on macos-latest
and macos-15-intel (PM_NATIVE_TRASH=macos). Windows still reports no-trash (#500).
* test(trash): resolve the temp folder and wait for a busy image to be released (#499)
The permission tests keyed their lstat fakes by the unresolved temp path, but the
backend resolves paths (/var -> /private/var on macOS, 8.3 short names on Windows),
so on those runners the fakes never matched (portability run 40954618922; reproduced
on Linux with a symlinked TMPDIR). The native test's detach first proves this
process holds nothing under the mount, then retries the plain detach until macOS
releases a volume it has just written a trash folder to (macos-15-intel), and
still fails after a forced detach.
* test(trash): count a volume that unmounted after a busy detach as detached (#499)
On macos-15-intel a detach that reported "Resource busy" finished afterwards, so
the retry found no such volume (portability run 40957282805). The loop now checks
os.path.ismount before each attempt.
Main runs 40935337099, 40938407252 and 40941240624 (dd247e3) took at most
7m24s, 7m31s and 7m32s (Windows), so the limit is ceil(1.5 x 7m32s) + 3 =
15 min, down from 27. The tooling test recomputes the limit from the
measurements written above jobs:.
* test: list the slowest tests on request and stop waiting 30 s on a held WAL (#487)
PM_TEST_SLOWEST=N makes tests/run_suite.py list the N slowest tests.
Three history tests restored while their own read held a snapshot, so
each publish sat out the 30 s WAL-truncate wait; they now use a short wait.
Temporary diagnostics for the Windows timings ride along in this commit.
* test(lora): check Windows folder rules without asking the network (#487)
On Windows ntpath.realpath looks up \\server\share and waited about 2.8 s
per test for a host that does not exist. The guard tests now use the
lexical NT path rules, which is what they already ran on Linux and macOS.
* ci(portability): keep Windows test files on the work disk (#487)
The Windows runner's TEMP is on C:, where a flush took about 6 ms and a test
database's create-to-delete about 111 ms; on D: the same took 0.5 ms and
23 ms. The job now points TEMP/TMP at RUNNER_TEMP and lists the 40 slowest
tests. The fake HTTPS handlers get a TLS context that reads no certificate
store, and the missing-share tests name localhost instead of an unknown
server. The temporary diagnostics are removed.
* ci(portability): spell the Windows test TEMP by its short name (#487)
The runner's own TEMP was C:\Users\RUNNER~1\..., so tests met 8.3 short
names in every temp path. The folder on D: keeps that when the disk has
short names, and the step logs which spelling it got. TESTING.md notes
that the slowest list is not printed when a job is cancelled.
* ci(portability): switch on 8.3 names for the Windows test TEMP (#487)
D: made no short names (run 40922502209 logged the long spelling), so
the step now switches them on for D: before it creates the folder, and
warns when the folder still has no short name.
* ci: run the full matrix once per PR, in the merge queue (#420)
Pull requests now run a fast subset: Python 3.12 on ubuntu-latest, the
coverage gate, black/flake8, frontend modules, bandit and the Chromium/touch
frontend coverage shards plus merge. The merge queue, pushes to main and
manual runs keep the full matrix: Linux/Windows/macOS x Python 3.12-3.14,
real ComfyUI compatibility and the Firefox/WebKit page workflows.
A dropped matrix leg never reports a check, so the new required "all tests"
gate requires every test.yml job to succeed outside pull requests and real
ComfyUI to be skipped only on pull requests; viewerjs does the same for the
browser shards. branch-protection.json drops the eight legs a pull request
no longer runs and adds "all tests".
* docs(ci): ruleset edit keeps every rule and integration id; find merge-queue runs
* ci: move Windows and macOS out of the blocking path (#420)
The maintainer deferred Windows and macOS to the end of the redesign.
The merge queue now runs Linux on Python 3.12-3.14, real ComfyUI, the
frontend coverage shards and the Firefox/WebKit page workflows; pull
requests keep the Linux 3.12 subset. The six Windows/macOS legs move to
the new portability.yml, which runs on push to main, nightly and on
demand, keeps the 27-minute limit and is never a required check. Red
runs there are fixed at their cause before the cutover (#334).
* docs(ci): required checks live in the ruleset and the classic protection (#420)
