Workflow Advisor
ComfyFlow Insight
Technical Documentation
Overview
The Workflow Advisor is the intelligence layer of ComfyFlow Insight.
All previous engines focus on collecting information:
- Architecture Analyzer
- Workflow Statistics
- Branch Analyzer
- Dependency Graph
- Health Analyzer
- Impact Analysis
The Workflow Advisor consumes the results from all these engines and converts them into actionable engineering recommendations.
Think of the Workflow Advisor as a senior workflow engineer reviewing your workflow and providing guidance.
Why Workflow Advisor Exists
Most workflow analysis tools stop after reporting metrics.
For example:
Nodes = 125
Branches = 8
Health Score = 91
While useful, these numbers do not answer:
Is this workflow good?
Can I deploy it?
What should I improve?
What are the risks?
What should I fix first?
The Workflow Advisor answers these questions.
Workflow Advisor Objectives
The Workflow Advisor performs the following tasks:
Aggregate Analysis Results
Calculate Workflow Score
Determine Workflow Grade
Assess Workflow Status
Identify Workflow Risks
Generate Recommendations
Support Repair Planning
Evaluate Production Readiness
Advisor Architecture

Workflow Advisor
The Advisor combines all results into a single engineering assessment.
Workflow Score
Definition
Workflow Score represents the overall quality of a workflow.
It is the primary metric used by the Advisor.
Score Range
0–100
Example
Workflow Score = 94
Interpretation:
Excellent Workflow Quality
Score Inputs
The Workflow Score considers:

Many Repair Suggestions
Complex Workflow Structure
Recommendation Engine
Purpose
Generate actionable suggestions.
The Advisor does not simply report problems.
It suggests improvements.
Example Recommendations
Review isolated nodes.
Add SaveImage output.
Reduce branch complexity.
Review dependency chain length.
Simplify workflow structure.
Recommendation Sources
Recommendations are generated from:
Health Analyzer
Dependency Graph
Impact Analysis
Workflow Repair
Branch Analyzer
Example
Health Analysis:
Missing SaveImage
Advisor Recommendation:
Add SaveImage node to workflow output.
Production Readiness Assessment
Purpose
Determine whether a workflow is suitable for deployment.
Production Ready Workflow
Typical Characteristics:
Grade A
Low Risk
Minimal Repairs
Healthy Dependencies
Healthy Outputs
Example
Workflow Score = 95
Grade = A
Status = Production Ready
Interpretation:
Workflow can be deployed
with minimal concern.
Workflow Requiring Review
Example:
Workflow Score = 68
Grade = C
Status = Needs Improvement
Interpretation:
Review recommended
before deployment.
Advisor Insights
The Advisor generates high-level engineering observations.
Examples:
Workflow score is 92/100.
Workflow grade is A.
Workflow status is Production Ready.
2 recommendations generated.
Dependency complexity is moderate.
Repair risk is low.
These insights provide an executive summary.
Workflow Prioritization
One of the Advisor's most important responsibilities is helping users decide what to fix first.
Priority Order
Recommended review sequence:
Critical Dependencies
Missing Outputs
Repair Recommendations
Branch Complexity
Architecture Improvements
Example
Workflow Issues:
Missing SaveImage
2 Isolated Nodes
High Branch Complexity
Priority:
1. Missing SaveImage
2. Review Isolated Nodes
3. Reduce Branch Complexity
Advisor Integration With Workflow Repair
Workflow Advisor and Workflow Repair work together.
Workflow Advisor
Answers:

Advisor
The Advisor quickly summarizes workflow quality.
Use Advisor Before Deployment
Always review:
Workflow Score
Workflow Grade
Workflow Status
Recommendations
before publishing workflows.
Review Recommendations
Even healthy workflows often contain optimization opportunities.
Do not ignore recommendations simply because a workflow is functioning correctly.
Example Advisor Report

Risk Level : Low
Recommendations : 2
Repair Suggestions : 1
Interpretation:
Workflow is healthy.
Minor optimization opportunities exist.
Deployment is recommended.
