- Only save in use_ui mode (or for unregistered checkpoints in use_preset); never overwrite an existing preset from use_preset
- Store presets in ComfyUI/user/checkpoint_preset_manager/ so they survive node updates; import legacy presets.json
- Atomic writes, recover from corrupt presets.json (.bak), UTF-8 I/O
- Normalize path separators in checkpoint names (Windows/Linux)
- Ignore save with empty ckpt_name; add IS_CHANGED; show Ckpt name on status board
- README: storage, save rules, ComfyUI-Easy-Use requirement of the sample workflow
