ComfyUI Clean Image Metadata

A tiny ComfyUI custom node that saves PNG or JPEG images without ComfyUI prompt/workflow metadata.

No pip install. No extra dependencies.

Download

Use either method:

1. Download the ready-to-use package:

   dist/ComfyUI-CleanImageMetadata.zip
   

2. Or download this repository with GitHub Code > Download ZIP.

Install

1. Close ComfyUI.

2. Unzip the package.

3. Put the whole folder here:

   ComfyUI/custom_nodes/ComfyUI-CleanImageMetadata
   

4. Start ComfyUI.

5. Search for:

   Save Image Without Metadata

Save Image Without Metadata

Inputs:

• images: image input.
• filename_prefix: output filename prefix.
• format: PNG or JPEG.
• png_compress_level: PNG file-size compression. Default 4 is recommended. PNG remains lossless.
• jpeg_quality: JPEG quality. Default 100 is recommended. JPEG is lossy.

Notes

• This node does not remove visible watermarks from pixels.
• It does not modify ComfyUI's built-in Save Image node.
• PNG output is saved without prompt, workflow, or extra_pnginfo.
• JPEG output is saved without EXIF/comment metadata.
