- Save microphone clips independently and use the selected clip when queued.
- Reuse Character Voices playback, waveform, and trimming controls.
- Size the recorder preview to its content so the node can shrink vertically.
- Preserve legacy capture settings and invalidate cached audio when files change.

Validation: 31 targeted tests and live recording, stopping, preview, trimming,
caching, and resizing checks. User confirmed the updated UI works.
