dreevelleandClaude Opus 5 1c3f13b1fe feat: Resolution Preset node — pick a size instead of computing one
With exact_ratio on, the valid outputs are a discrete lattice, so the
continuous megapixels input advertises precision that does not exist and
pushes the lookup table out of the node and into a sticky note beside the
graph. This adds a third node that is a single combo of 79 known-good
resolutions, each labelled

    16:9 · 2048 × 1152 · 2.36 MP · K2+H3+SDXL

with the trailing tag derived from divisibility (grid 16 / 32 / 64), not
a hand-kept table.

The list is generated at import time by build_presets() from the same
lattice_step() the solver uses, so it cannot disagree with solve_exact().
Per ratio it picks the coarsest grid still yielding six sizes: 1:1 has
L=16 and would otherwise contribute 105 near-identical entries, whereas
the coarse grid lands it on canonical squares (512 ... 2048). Coarse
ratios like 16:9 fall through to grid 16 and keep their full set.

Additive only — ResolutionSelectorMP and ResolutionAlignToGrid are
untouched and remain the escape hatch for custom ratios and for sizes
off the preset list.

Verified: ruff clean; comfy node validate passes; all three nodes
register; all 79 presets checked for exact ratio, 16-grid alignment,
correct compat tag, correct megapixels, label/value agreement and
execute() round-trip — zero problems, labels and sizes both unique;
existing solver anchors and all 69 README table rows unchanged.

"""ComfyUI-ResolutionTools.
Resolution maths for latent-space models, done exactly.
Three nodes:
``ResolutionPreset``
The everyday one. A single list of known-good resolutions, each exactly on
its aspect ratio and on the model's patch grid, tagged with the model
families it is legal for. Generated from the lattice at import time, so it
cannot drift from what the solver below produces.
``ResolutionSelectorMP``
The parametric one, for custom ratios and arbitrary budgets. Aspect ratio +
a *real* megapixel target (10^6 pixels, not 1024^2) -> width/height that
land on the model's patch grid **without drifting the aspect ratio**.
Rounding each axis independently -- what the built-in Resolution Selector
does -- turns 9:16 into 0.5649 instead of 0.5625. This solves on the
lattice of grid-aligned exact-ratio sizes instead.
``ResolutionAlignToGrid``
Snap an arbitrary width/height (e.g. 1920x1080) to the same grid
(-> 1920x1088), which is what stops the bottom-edge banding described below.
Why alignment matters
---------------------
A latent-space DiT reaches pixels through two reductions::
pixels --/ VAE spatial downscale --> latent --/ DiT patch size --> tokens
so both axes must be multiples of ``vae_downscale * patch_size``:
========================================== =========
Krea 2 / Flux / SD3 / Qwen-Image / Wan 16 (8 x 2)
MiniMax H3 32 (16 x 2)
SDXL / SD1.5 (UNet, 3 downsample stages) 64
========================================== =========
Miss it and ComfyUI's ``comfy.ldm.common_dit.pad_to_patch_size`` pads the latent
up to the patch grid with **circular** padding -- the pad row is a wrapped copy
of the top of the image. That fake row gets folded into the same patch token as
the real bottom row, which the model never saw in training, so the final latent
row decodes to a band of garbage at the bottom edge. One latent row = 8 px on
Krea 2, 16 px on H3. Padding is only ever appended, so the artifact is always
bottom/right, never top/left.
Self-contained on purpose (nothing imported from ``comfy_extras``) so a ComfyUI
core update can't silently change the maths.
