Diagnostic-only test that prints abs-diff (max/mean/median/p99) for each
of the 25 hidden states (embedding + 24 layer outputs + post-norm) in
bf16. Lets a reviewer distinguish:
- Healthy bf16 tail: monotonic growth per layer, median ≪ atol
- Real op mismatch: single-layer spike where one layer's diff is
>>2x the previous
Always passes; output is captured via `-s` and inspected manually.
Run after the parametrized parity test (which currently fails on the
strict mean-drift threshold) to decide whether to relax thresholds or
investigate a specific layer.
tests/local_tests/ holds local-only parity, smoke, and component tests
organized by model family (e.g. tests/local_tests/ltx2/,
tests/local_tests/stable_audio/). They typically require a checked-out
reference repo and/or model weights and are skipped in CI; see each family's
README.md for setup. The top-level
tests/local_tests/README.md is the family index.
The CI-backed test suite still lives in fastvideo/tests/.
