Replace the heavy autoResolveAfterDownload path (which re-analyzed the
entire workflow) with a more efficient refreshLocalMatchesForDownloadedMissing
call that queries /model_resolver/local-matches directly for the
specific downloaded file.
This removes the unnecessary re-analysis step, adds an explicit
force_rescan flag (coerced to bool on the backend for safe JSON
payload handling), propagates the missing model's category through
the activeDownloads tracking objects, and updates related UI text
to reflect the new narrower behavior.
Raise CivArchiveSearchError in civarchive backend, catch and store it in
source_results in the workflow analyzer, surface it in resolve_download_methods
as an 'error' status, and display error messages in search_panel progress
items and tooltips.
Adds a checkbox in the resolver footer search menu that bypasses all
search result caches for the duration of a batch search run.
Frontend (queue_methods.js, resolve_download_methods.js,
resolver_dialog.js, search_panel.js, resolver-main.css):
- Introduce checkbox-type footer menu items (type: 'checkbox').
- Add 'Force search (ignore cache)' checkbox to the search menu,
wired to a new forceBatchSearch flag on ResolverManagerDialog.
- Pass forceSearch through searchMissingBatch and searchOnline to
the backend API call.
- When the manual search button is clicked and results already exist
for that model, forceSearch defaults to true.
- mergeSearchResults respects forceRefresh: if a forced search
returns no results for a source, that source is cleared from the
cached results.
Backend (__init__.py, core/sources/huggingface.py):
- force_search is read from the incoming API request and, when true,
clears all active source search caches (local, huggingface,
civitai, civarchive, lora_manager_archive) before searching.
- force_search is forwarded as force_refresh to
search_huggingface_for_file, which folds it into the cache key so
the cache is not hit, and propagates it to _get_author_index.
- Search result timestamps are no longer inherited from prior
cached signatures when force_search is active; a fresh timestamp
is written unconditionally.
Updated metadata/huggingface-author-index.json reflects the latest
cached author index after rebuild.
Add searched_at timestamps to search results so cached entries are accurately tracked and preserved across merges. Expand the clear-search-cache command to also invalidate popular databases, model list, and the new result timestamp store. Frontend gains new cache-clearing methods and a full resolver cache reset for maintenance. The search panel and missing browser now show source result dates and toggle the search button between 'Search' and 'Search Again' when results already exist.
The previous commit introduced server-side persistence for API keys and
preferences via a model_resolver_settings.json file and POST/GET routes.
This change reverts that behavior, returning to localStorage-only storage
for settings, which is simpler and avoids persisting sensitive credentials
to disk. Also removes the now-unnecessary .gitignore entry.
Replace all link dialog terminology with resolver terminology
throughout the codebase, including module names, CSS classes,
IDs, JS variables, SVG gradient IDs, and log module names.
Remove the old web/linker/ tree and introduce the new web/resolver/
tree with parallel structure. Also replace core/linker.py with
core/resolver.py.
Add backend endpoints (/model_linker/model-list/status, /model_linker/model-list/update)
that let users check whether their bundled ComfyUI-Manager model-list.json is current
and download the latest version from GitHub, with SHA tracking and cache invalidation.
Add corresponding UI in the Options dialog under a new 'Local Database' section
with status display, remote check, and update controls.
Adds a new include_brackets parameter to ColoredFormatter that controls
whether square brackets wrap timestamps, root labels, and log level names
in formatted log output. When True, brackets are applied; when False
(the default for AzLogsLogger), brackets are omitted for cleaner output.
This allows callers like AzLogsLogger to opt-in to bracket formatting
independently via the constructor.
Console output (ColoredFormatter):
- Level name is now wrapped in [LEVEL] and left-padded via _format_level.
- Timestamp and root-label segments are individually bracket-wrapped, keeping
plain-output layout consistent with coloured output.
- Separator between fields is colourised (colour code derived from level theme)
so the table structure remains readable.
- New include_milliseconds init flag controls whether a fractional-second suffix
is appended to the timestamp; _format_time respects it.
- _display_logger_name unchanged; _split_logger_name still decomposes dotted names
into root / detail parts.
File logging (AzLogsLogger):
- file_handlers dict introduced to cache one RotatingFileHandler per top-level
root module, preventing duplicate handlers when multiple sub-modules log to
the same file (_get_file_handler / _get_log_file / _root_module_name).
- File handler formatter upgraded from a bare logging.Formatter to ColoredFormatter
(colours off, milliseconds on, datefmt hard-coded to
'%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S') so file output carries the same column structure as
the console formatter.
- reset_loggers method properly removes and closes all handlers (StreamHandler
and RotatingFileHandler) from every configured logger before clearing
self.loggers and self.file_handlers, allowing _get_logger to be called again
with fresh settings.
- set_file_logging now delegates to reset_loggers instead of simply clearing
the loggers dict.
- Increment log_system version from 1.5.0 to 1.5.1 in all module docstrings
- Add # ruff: noqa: T201 to log_funcs.py and logger.py to suppress
ruff T201 (favored print() usage) warning in logging utility modules
- Bump version to 1.5.0 in config.py, log_funcs.py, and logger.py
- Add USE_COLORS = True to core/log_system/config.py
- Import USE_COLORS in log_funcs.py and pass it to the logger context as
use_colors, honouring AZLOGS_USE_COLORS env var when set
- Introduce LEVEL_THEME mapping per-level RGB colors for DEBUG/INFO/WARN/ERROR
- Add TIME_BG background color for timestamp blocks
- Refactor _color_level into _color_level_badge: bold + background color badge
- Add _color_timestamp, _color_root_label, _color_separator, _color_message helpers
- Format output as: <level-badge> <timestamp> <root-label> <message> <source>
- Split logger name into root/detail via _split_logger_name; show only detail in source field
- Non-colored fallback path uses same structured layout without ANSI codes
- Change logging stacklevel from 3 to 4 in all log helper functions
(create_module_logger, log_debug, log_info, log_warn, log_error) to
correctly attribute the caller location in stack output.
- Reduce level_field_width from 9 to 5 (e.g. ERROR→5 chars) and set
source_field_width to 0 so source column auto-sizes to its content.
- Add MESSAGE color (cyan) for log message highlighting in colored output.
- Extract four helper methods from ColoredFormatter.format:
_display_logger_name — strips the 'azlogs.' namespace prefix
_display_level_name — normalises WARNING → WARN for compact display
_format_time — builds HH:MM:SS.mmm timestamps
_color_level — applies bold+color to the level token
- Simplify format() to assemble [HH:MM:SS.mmm] LVL (logger:line): message
with the new helpers applied inline.
- Set default level/source field widths to 0 (no extra spacing) in DEFAULT_CONFIG
- Add level_field_width and source_field_width parameters to ColoredFormatter
- Pad/center level tag and ljust source tag ([name:lineno]) consistently
- Add _field_width() helper to safely convert config values to non-negative ints
- Pass config widths through to ColoredFormatter in AzLogsLogger setup
- Set LOG_MODULE_NAME to 'MLinker' in config.py
- Switch __init__.py to use create_module_logger(); remove inline logging.getLogger calls
- Rewrite log_funcs.py: introduce module-name normalization (_normalize_module_name/_normalize_module_path/_resolve_module_name), ModuleLogger class, and global log-level switching (set_global_level replaces per-module set_module_level)
- Enhance logger.py: show [name:lineno] in console prefix, sanitize log file names for safe filesystem paths, wrap RotatingFileHandler setup with OSError handling to fall back to console-only logging, pass stacklevel through log() and propagate kwargs to exception()
- Update web/log_system/logger.js: dispatch to level-specific console methods (debug/info/warn/error) via CONSOLE_METHODS map; replace truncated t/m/l/a localStorage schema with serializeLogEntry/deserializeLogEntry (backward-compatible with short keys); load saved logs on construction via loadLogs()
Enhance logging system with configurable module names and dynamic
localStorage keys to avoid conflicts between multiple plugin instances.
- Add LOG_MODULE_NAME and DEFAULT_LOGGER_NAME to web/log_system/config.js
- Update logger.js to use dynamic storage keys based on module name
- Change window property from ResolutionMasterLogger to dynamic key
- Add PyDoc metadata to core/log_system/config.py
- Add JSDoc metadata blocks to all web log_system files
Reorganize web utilities:
- Move css-loader.js from web/ to web/utils/
- Add ErrorHandler.js for centralized error handling
- Add ResourceManager.js for stylesheet and template loading
rename: web/css-loader.js => web/utils/css-loader.js
- Add 'node_title' field to model info dictionaries in get_node_model_info
- Display custom node titles in missing models dialog when available
- Show 'NodeLabel #id · CustomTitle' format for better model identification
- Add civitai_use_trpc_search and civitai_use_html_fallback config options
- Update search_civitai_for_file to conditionally use tRPC and HTML methods
- Include method flags in cache key to respect search method preferences
- Add checkboxes in options UI to control each CivitAI search method
- Add tooltip badges to all API key labels explaining their purpose
- Persist new settings to localStorage and pass through search pipeline
Add a capabilities endpoint and use it in the frontend to show the LoRA Manager Archive source only when comfyui-lora-manager and its archive database are available. This keeps the source menu clean and avoids exposing unavailable functionality.
Allow the number of CivitAI search candidates to be configured (default 5, bounds 1–20) and thread this limit through the frontend and backend. Backend: introduce DEFAULT/MAX constants, validate candidate_limit, include it in cache keys and logs, collect and deduplicate candidates from tRPC and HTML searches up to the limit, prefer exact 100% matches and otherwise pick the best-confidence result. Frontend: persist civitaiCandidateLimit in localStorage, add an input to options UI, clamp/save the value, include civitai_candidate_limit in search payloads, and apply suggested subfolder info from returned civitai_search_result. Misc: UI copy updated and minor log/message tweaks.
Add support for an optional CivitAI session token and cache-management for search results. UI: new input for __Secure-civitai-token saved to localStorage (modelLinker.civitaiSessionToken) and cleared via the options dialog; saving/clearing tokens triggers a backend cache clear and updates notifications. Backend: add clear_search_cache() helpers in core.sources.huggingface and core.sources.civitai, register /model_linker/clear-search-cache route to flush both caches, and wire the civitai session token into search flows. CivitAI changes include sending the session token as a Cookie header for tRPC searches, incorporating session and model_type into the search cache key, and passing session_token through search_civitai_for_file and related calls. Purpose: ensure authenticated/session-aware search results (including NSFW/visibility differences) and avoid stale cached search results after token/settings changes.
Pass category to CivitAI searches and overhaul civitai source logic: prefer civitai.red tRPC search, extract candidates from tRPC/HTML, add type mapping, richer filename normalization and similarity scoring, per-version file matching, and confidence thresholds; use caching and fallbacks when needed. Also update web UI to display match confidence and file size. These changes aim to produce more accurate model/file matches and surface confidence to users.
Add extensive observability/logging across ModelLinker and source search modules. __init__.py: introduce summarize_result and log_search_result helpers, replace ad-hoc logger calls with log_info/log_exception, and add start/result/summary logs for local, popular, model_list, HuggingFace and CivitAI searches (including extra metadata like confidence, files_count, results_count). core/sources/civitai.py: log cache hits, API call start, response counts, model/version/file checks, no-result info and improved exception logging. core/sources/huggingface.py: log cache hits, API call start, response counts, per-repo debug info, repo tree sizes, no-result info and improved exception logging. Changes are focused on diagnostics and do not alter core search logic.
Add real-time analysis progress reporting and client-side polling during workflow analysis. __init__.py: import asyncio, track per-analysis progress in self.analysis_progress, pass an update callback to analyze endpoint (using asyncio.to_thread), set progress states on success/error, and expose a new GET /model_linker/analyze-progress/{analysis_id} endpoint. core/linker.py: add optional progress_callback parameter to analyze_and_find_matches and emit staged progress updates (extracting, scanning, analyzing, identifying, matching, per-model progress and completed). web/linker.js: introduce analysis progress UI rendering, polling loop (pollAnalysisProgress) keyed by an analysis token, send analysis_id with analyze request, show progress bar/message, and replace search-source buttons with a compact select picker. These changes improve UX by providing live feedback during potentially long analysis runs.
Performance and correctness improvements across model scanning, matching, workflow analysis, and CivitAI URL handling:
- Add short-lived in-memory cache for get_model_files (with force_rescan and invalidate_model_files_cache) to reduce frequent directory scans.
- Pass scanned available_models into workflow analysis to avoid rescanning and build category-indexed lists plus an ordered-candidates cache for faster candidate ordering.
- Improve analyze_and_find_matches to special-case urn:air: URNs (use filename suffix when present) and skip fuzzy matching when appropriate.
- Rewrite find_matches to maintain only the top N results via heapq, cache normalized candidate path/filename values on candidate dicts, and early-exit on max_results<=0 to reduce allocations and CPU.
- Add helper functions in CivitAI source to extract/build stable image page URLs (_extract_civitai_image_id, _build_civitai_image_url) and use them when populating image metadata.
- Propagate available_models into get_node_model_info and analyze_workflow_models so subroutines reuse the same scanned list.
- Guard frontend and backend folder lookups to return early for unknown categories to avoid unnecessary work.
These changes aim to reduce IO/CPU during frequent matching operations and produce more accurate/efficient matching for URNs and local models.
Include base_model and tags in civitai search/resolve results and model lookup responses. Add a new /model_linker/subfolders API route that uses ComfyUI folder_paths to return known subfolder paths for a given category. Improve downloader.get_download_directory to choose a preferred path (preferring paths outside the ComfyUI install) and add robust path normalization/commonpath checks. On the frontend, add download target controls (folder + optional subfolder) with styling, loading of download directories/subfolders, autocomplete and selection logic, heuristics to suggest civitai subfolders (particularly for loras), and integrate the chosen category/subfolder into the download payload and UI wiring.
Expose local model matching and folder-opening functionality. Adds search_local_matches to core/linker.py to run local filename/path similarity matching with deduplication and category prioritization. Registers two new HTTP endpoints in __init__.py: /model_linker/local-matches (POST) to search local files and /model_linker/open-containing-folder (POST) to open the OS file explorer at a model's path. Updates web/linker.js to add context-menu item, UI rendering and wiring for local matches (including confidence filtering, expandable alternatives, and button handlers), client-side openContainingFolder call, and triggers to refresh URN local matches. Also surfaces civitai version_name in model results. These changes enable searching and linking local model files from the UI and opening their containing folders.
Stop performing automatic online searches during scanning and matching: HuggingFace/CivitAI lookups are no longer done synchronously for each missing file. Core linker now marks URN entries for async resolution instead of calling CivitAI during scan, avoiding blocking network calls and reducing noise. Server-side /model_linker/search remains the on-demand endpoint; __init__.py adds resolve_urn import and tightens validation for URN requests (require model_id+version_id for URN-only requests). Frontend (web/linker.js) updated to show a loading indicator for URN entries and to fetch CivitAI info asynchronously via a new resolveUrnAsync() routine, then update the UI when results arrive. Also includes minor formatting/import grouping and UI label tweaks.
Bump logging version to 1.4.1 and improve module name detection by adding _find_project_root in log_funcs to locate the repository root (searches for a .git directory) and use its basename when LOG_MODULE_NAME is not set, with a fallback to the previous behavior. Also update the same version string in logger.py. Additionally, comment out two noisy debug log lines in core/scanner.py to reduce verbose output when directories are missing or after scanning.
Refactor AzLogsLogger instance methods (debug/info/warn/error/exception) and the module-level helper functions to call the central logger.log(...) with the appropriate LogLevel, and ensure exception() passes exc_info=True. Also add a standard library logger in core/log_system/log_funcs.py and emit an error if importing the custom logger fails to aid diagnosis.
Replace direct uses of the logging module and module-level loggers with the centralized log_system.log_funcs (log_debug/log_info/log_warn/log_error/log_exception) across multiple modules. Updated imports and removed unused logging.getLogger() instances in downloader, scanner, sources (civitai, huggingface, model_list, popular), workflow_analyzer, workflow_updater, and __init__.py. Minor message/text tweaks and import formatting applied; behavior unchanged aside from routing logs through the shared logging helpers.
Introduce a new logging subsystem under core/log_system (logger.py, config.py, log_funcs.py) implementing AzLogs (LogLevel enum, colored console output, optional file rotation) and a lightweight wrapper (log_debug/info/warn/error/exception) with safe fallback when AzLogs is unavailable. Integrate these log functions across many core modules (downloader, linker, matcher, scanner, workflow_analyzer, workflow_updater, sources and related files) and export logger and helper log functions from core.__init__. Replace several direct logging calls in linker with the new log_* helpers and update core.__init__ exports. Also include small code style and robustness tweaks (path/filename normalization, JSON/file handling, minor refactors and formatting fixes) to improve matching and model-list/popular lookups.
Enhance model linking with CivitAI integration and UI improvements.
- __init__.py: Expand model path resolution by building filename→path lookup (including no-ext keys) and using folder_paths to map common categories; add a /model_linker/civitai-search POST route that attempts metadata/hash-based lookup (or filename fallback) and returns CivitAI model/version info for the frontend.
- core/sources/civitai.py: Add hashing and metadata handling utilities: _get_sha256_hash, metadata discovery/reading, helpers to extract images/trained-words, get_model_info_by_hash and get_model_info_for_file (which prefers local metadata and otherwise queries CivitAI by hash). Also tidy/normalize existing search/resolve functions and add caching for hash lookups.
- web/linker.js: Add a right-click context menu for model chips with actions (Show Info, Open in CivitAI), implement dialog UI to display model info, and wire calls to the new civitai-search endpoint. Includes positioning/closing behavior and dialog population from returned data.
These changes enable accurate model identification via local metadata or sha256 lookups on CivitAI and provide convenient frontend actions to view model details or open CivitAI pages.
Add the "Lora Stacker (LoraManager)" node type to NODE_TYPE_TO_CATEGORY_HINTS and to the list of text-based Lora loader types so the analyzer treats the LoraManager Stacker as a lora loader and applies the same model-info extraction logic.
Add support for the gguf model format across the codebase and improve handling of nested/dict-type widget model references. Changes include:
- Add ".gguf" to model extension lists in core/linker.py, core/scanner.py, core/sources/huggingface.py, and core/workflow_analyzer.py so gguf files are detected and suggested.
- Update HuggingFace search/repo listing to consider gguf files and improve some request/response handling and logging.
- Improve scanner implementation: formatting/PEP8 cleanup, robust extension checks, normalized MODEL_EXTENSIONS set, safer path handling, and clearer logging.
- Add NESTED_MODEL_KEYS and logic in workflow_analyzer to detect model filenames stored inside dict-type widget values (e.g. rgthree Power Lora Loader) and record a nested_key for resolution.
- Propagate nested_key through apply_resolution mapping and update update_model_path to write resolved paths back into nested dict keys when present (instead of only replacing the top-level widget value).
- Update web UI (web/linker.js) regexes to strip/display gguf extensions in model name formatting.
These changes allow gguf models to be discovered, resolved and updated in workflows, and enable support for nodes that store model references inside nested dict fields.
Filter out LoraManager (LoraLoaderV2) entries that already exist locally so they don't appear as missing, and skip matching for those entries. Integrate scanner data to detect local lora files (full_path/exists) in workflow analysis. Add special handling in update_model_path/update_workflow_nodes to update LoraManager lora lists and the formatted lora text widget (widgets_values[2] and [1]) when a new lora is resolved, using mapping fields is_lora_v2 and original_lora_name. Improve convert_to_relative_path and get_base_directory_for_model to prefer folder_paths lookup and preserve exact ComfyUI filename formats. In the web UI, make resolve button IDs unique by including a missingIndex, avoid duplicate listeners, forward is_lora_v2/original_lora_name to the resolve API, and add extra logging for debugging.
Add support for text-based Lora loaders (LoraLoaderV2 / LoraManager) and mark model refs with activity/connection state, plus UI improvements.
- __init__.py: clarify comment and propagate new flags from refs (is_lora_v2, active, connected).
- core/workflow_analyzer.py: reformatting and small style changes; add LoraLoaderV2 and LoraManager node hints; detect node connected/bypassed state; parse text-based Lora widget lists (name/strength/active) and emit model refs with strength, is_lora_v2, active and connected flags; include connected flag for URN and file refs; keep existing URN/file resolution and dedup logic but annotate refs with subgraph/context info.
- web/linker.js: group loaded models into active/inactive per-category, add UI filter buttons (All / Active / Inactive), separate copy buttons for active/inactive/all, update display to indicate active vs inactive models and copy behavior, and add global helper functions for filtering and clipboard operations.
These changes enable accurate detection of LoraV2 loader states and provide a clearer UI for copying model spec strings while preserving existing behavior for standard loaders.
Refactor and harden the Model Linker extension: normalize string quoting/formatting and improve logging and error responses across API routes. Make route registration more robust to missing PromptServer and dependencies. Add/expand download-related features: safer request parsing (including is_urn handling), CivitAI URN support & direct download URL resolution, popular/model-list/HuggingFace/CivitAI search fallbacks, improved header handling for HF/CivitAI, and better category/directory mapping. Improve downloader reliability and UX: folder_paths fallback, pre-initialize download progress entries, smoother speed calculation and CLI logging, cancellation cleanup on Windows, stronger exception handling, and consistent JSON responses from endpoints.
Detect ComfyUI-AIR URNs in workflows, resolve them to expected filenames via the CivitAI API, and prefer those filenames for matching.
Key changes:
- core/workflow_analyzer.py: added URN_REGEX, URN_TYPE_MAP, is_model_filename() now recognizes URNs, and get_node_model_info() emits structured URN info (is_urn, urn fields, category, exists=False).
- core/sources/civitai.py: added resolve_urn(model_id, version_id) with caching, API fetch of model/version and primary file, and result shaping (model_name, version_name, expected_filename, files).
- core/linker.py: import resolve_urn and call it for missing URNs, attach civitai_info/expected_filename, and prefer expected_filename as matching target; cleaned up deduplication logic.
- web/linker.js: UI shows URN original plus resolved CivitAI model/version labels where available.
- TODO.md: added plan/notes for URN detection and next steps.
This improves detection and fuzzy matching for models referenced by URNs so missing model resolution is more accurate. Further matcher and updater enhancements remain TODOs.
Resolves ValueError: too many values to unpack when folder_paths returns 3-tuples.
- Handles both 2-tuple and 3-tuple formats from folder_paths
- Normalizes extensions to set with proper type handling
- Adds better error handling for unexpected formats
