TileAndStitchBack

Tile and Stitch Back - A proof-of-concept node that demonstrates the tiling system optimized for WanVideo's best performance characteristics (81 frames, 832×480 resolution). This node tiles a video both temporally and spatially, applies color transformations for debugging, then stitches everything back together.

Pipeline Flow:

  1. Temporal Tiling → Split video into 81-frame chunks with 10-frame overlap
  2. Spatial Tiling → Split each chunk into 832×480 tiles with 20-pixel overlap
  3. Color Transformation → Apply random color shifts to each tile (for debugging)
  4. Stitching → Reconstruct the original video from processed tiles

Required Inputs:

  • video: IMAGE - Input video sequence to tile and process

Tiling Parameters:

  • target_frames: INT - Target frames per temporal chunk (default: 81, optimized for WanVideo)
  • target_width: INT - Target width per spatial tile (default: 832, optimized for WanVideo)
  • target_height: INT - Target height per spatial tile (default: 480, optimized for WanVideo)
  • frame_overlap: INT - Overlap between temporal chunks in frames (default: 10)
  • spatial_overlap: INT - Overlap between spatial tiles in pixels (default: 20)

Debug Parameters:

  • color_shift_strength: FLOAT - Strength of random color shifts applied to tiles (default: 0.1)
  • debug_mode: BOOLEAN - Enable detailed logging during processing (default: True)

Outputs:

  • stitched_video: IMAGE - Reconstructed video after tiling and stitching
  • tile_info: STRING - Detailed information about the tiling process

Key Features:

  • WanVideo Optimized: Default settings match WanVideo's optimal input format
  • Smart Overlap Handling: Automatically handles edge cases where dimensions aren't perfectly divisible
  • Temporal & Spatial Tiling: Complete tiling system for both time and space dimensions
  • Debug Color Shifts: Applies deterministic color transformations to verify tiling accuracy
  • Overlap Blending: Averages overlapping regions during stitching for smooth reconstruction
  • Detailed Logging: Comprehensive tile information for debugging and verification

Edge Case Handling:

  • If input has 100 frames with 81-frame target: First chunk = frames 0-80, Second chunk = frames 19-99 (exactly 81 frames each)
  • If input dimensions aren't perfectly divisible: Creates additional full-size tiles that may overlap significantly
  • Example: 1920×1080 video with 832×480 tiles creates overlapping tiles to ensure each tile is exactly 832×480
  • Overlapping regions are blended by averaging pixel values during stitching

Tiling Strategy:

  • Exact Size Guarantee: Each tile is exactly the target size (81 frames, 832×480 pixels)
  • Full Coverage: Additional tiles are added to cover all remaining content, even if heavily overlapping
  • WanVideo Optimized: Every tile maintains the exact dimensions WanVideo expects for best performance

Usage Notes:

  • This is a proof-of-concept for the tiling system that will be used in production WanVideo workflows
  • Color shifts help verify that tiling and stitching are working correctly
  • Set color_shift_strength to 0.0 to disable color transformations
  • The node is designed to prepare videos for optimal WanVideo processing
  • Memory Efficient: VAE tiling options for high-resolution generation
  • Progress Tracking: Detailed console output showing pipeline progress
  • Error Handling: Graceful fallback with dummy outputs if errors occur
  • Flexible Parameters: Comprehensive control over every aspect of generation
