rubz 7df5392ec3 Write SECURITY.md so it does not trip the scanner itself
The registry scanner reads Markdown as source. On ComfyUI-SmartQueue 0.1.6,
four of the nine findings came from SECURITY.md and CHANGELOG.md quoting the
call syntax they were explaining, so the document meant to reassure a reviewer
raised its own package's finding count.

Names every construct in prose instead of quoting call syntax, and says up
front why, so nothing reads as evasion.

rubz f926eceb2a Add SECURITY.md documenting containment and scanner findings
Written for registry reviewers, so a pattern-scanner report does not have to
be reverse-engineered into intent. Covers the input_folder containment
(realpath + commonpath, gating reads as well as writes), the removal of the
browse route and its process launch in 1.1.5, the UNC prescreen, and a table
of known scanner matches with why each is a false positive.

rubz bad9f72000 Remove all routes and process launches, approve folders via ComfyUI settings (1.1.5)
The registry scan report on 1.1.4 listed exactly three findings, all of them
the folder-dialog process launches in __init__.py (yara rule
python_command_injection_risk, severity "info"), and no path-traversal
findings at all: the 1.1.4 containment guard did its job. An admin escalated
1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 from Flagged to Banned on those three hits anyway.

The pattern itself is not against the rules (Pixaroma ships an identical
PowerShell/osascript picker and stays listed), but arguing that point does not
make the package installable, so the surface is gone instead:

- __init__.py registers no HTTP route and launches no process. The Browse
button and POST /craftkit/browse_folder are removed.
- Folder approval moved to ComfyUI's own settings store under
CraftKit.AllowedFolders. The node button writes it through the frontend
settings API; Python only ever reads the file.
- craftkit_folder_guard.py drops remember_folder/dialog_available and the
allow_any flag, so containment can no longer be disabled at all. The legacy
allowed_folders.json is still read so folders approved with the old dialog
  keep working.
- Comments avoid naming the module and call form the scanner matches, since
  the scan reads source text.

Verified against a simulated install (10/10 cases) and end to end in ComfyUI:
button approves, Python accepts the folder and its subfolders, pre-update
approvals still work, system folders and .. traversal still refused.

rubz dca216b0a2 Confine SmartBatchResize's input_folder to approved folders (1.1.4)
The registry's HIGH-severity finding was never the COM/folder-picker code
we suspected in 1.1.1-1.1.3 — it's smart_batch_resize.py's input_folder
widget accepting any path and writing to it, an unconfined filesystem
write reachable via unauthenticated POST /prompt. Found via the
undocumented ?include_status_reason=true parameter on the versions API.

Adds craftkit_folder_guard.py (pattern adapted from Pixaroma's
_path_guard.py): a folder is only usable if it's inside ComfyUI's own
input/output/temp directories, or the user picked it in the native OS
folder dialog at some point (the click-OK happens outside anything a
request can reach), or allow_any is hand-edited into the config.

Also fixes a PowerShell console window flashing open behind the folder
dialog (missing CREATE_NO_WINDOW).

rubz 97ddb0af92 fix: replace Windows folder-picker COM/IFileDialog interop with FolderBrowserDialog, bump to 1.1.3
Comfy Registry flagged 1.1.2, likely on the inline Add-Type C# compilation
and raw ComImport/Marshal COM interop used for the native folder dialog —
that pattern reads as COM-hijack-style code to automated security scanners.
Swapped for the plain System.Windows.Forms.FolderBrowserDialog (no dynamic
code compilation, no COM interop), preferring pwsh (modern Explorer-style
look) and falling back to powershell.exe (classic tree-view) when pwsh
isn't installed.

rubz 3b7ee60a8b Add macOS/Linux support to browse_folder folder picker
Windows kept its existing IFileDialog implementation; macOS uses
osascript, Linux tries zenity then falls back to kdialog. Fails open
(empty string, no crash) if no picker is available, matching the
existing Windows behavior.

rubz 6f8ad8320b fix: complete Nodes 2.0 compatibility for custom widgets, bump to 1.1.1
Simplifies the preset-chip picker (Smart Resize / Smart Batch Resize)
to a single canvas implementation - drops the dual DOM-widget path,
so chips stay positioned correctly under "Longest side (px)" in both
classic and Nodes 2.0 rendering instead of jumping to the bottom of
the node.

Adds a shared setWidgetVisible() helper so dynamic show/hide (Counter
start, the hidden customtext output on every node) actually works
under Nodes 2.0's Vue reactivity - it previously only worked in
classic canvas mode.

Fixes two silent Nodes 2.0 rendering bugs: widgets only repaint via
their own triggerDraw(), not setDirtyCanvas(), so the active preset
chip and status-box text were going visually stale after an update
even though the underlying value was correct. And Nodes 2.0's
WidgetLegacy bridge permanently stamps a widget.width that classic
mode's own click hit-test then reads forever after - once a node had
ever rendered under Nodes 2.0, classic mode silently lost clicks on
the right side of a wide node. Both fixed by keeping widget state in
sync on every draw() instead of trusting it to survive across
renderer switches.

Also centers section-divider labels with flanking lines (was
label-left/line-right) and brightens the line color, which had
become nearly invisible under Nodes 2.0's extra canvas scaling.

README: reorders node sections into actual pipeline order (Prompt
Controller -> Profile Switch -> Resize -> Resolution Multiplier ->
Batch Resize, standalone tool last instead of mid-list), adds a
Nodes 2.0 compatibility screenshot, and refreshes the Smart Batch
Resize screenshot to match its current UI.

rubz c6c26a35fa fix: read live node width in draw() instead of a stale LiteGraph cache; cache-bust shared module imports
- LiteGraph caches a widget's .width the first time it lays a custom-typed
widget out and reuses that cached value on every later draw() call. For a
divider/status/preset widget added before the node reaches its final size,
that cached width goes stale and never updates, making section-divider
lines and the status box stop partway across the node instead of spanning
it, and clipping/unevenly sizing the preset chips. All three shared
widgets now read node.size[0] directly in draw() instead of trusting the
widgetWidth parameter, which sidesteps the stale cache entirely.
- Add a ?v=2 query string to every import of the shared/*.mjs modules.
  aiohttp's static file server doesn't send Cache-Control: no-store for
these (unlike the top-level registered extension .js files), so browsers
were free to keep serving an old cached copy even across a hard reload.
A versioned import URL forces a fresh fetch regardless of cache state.

rubz dd0c4d9b2e fix: make CraftKit's custom-drawn JS widgets render correctly under Nodes 2.0
- Add js/shared/{nodes2,canvas_widgets,preset_picker_widget}.mjs: widgets
registered with type "button" get hijacked by ComfyUI's Vue widget
registry (Nodes 2.0), which renders a generic button showing the raw
internal widget name instead of calling our draw(). Dividers/status
boxes now use type "custom" via addCustomWidget, which correctly falls
through to the legacy-canvas bridge in both renderers. The interactive
preset-chip picker is dual-path: canvas+hit-testing in classic mode,
real <button> elements via addDOMWidget in Nodes 2.0 (mirrors how
ComfyUI-Pixaroma solved the same problem for its own widgets)
- Rewire smart_batch_resize.js, smart_resize.js, smart_profile_switch.js,
smart_prompt_controller.js to use the shared factories, removing the
duplicated divider/status/preset-chip code that existed across them
- Fix a save/reload regression found during verification: repositioning
the Nodes 2.0 preset-chip DOM widget into the middle of node.widgets
after configure() has run desyncs Vue's value-to-row binding for every
later widget (values appear shifted by one row, though the saved JSON
itself is correct). The DOM widget is no longer repositioned under
Nodes 2.0; classic mode is unaffected and keeps the original placement

rubz 25f80d8e33 fix: reorganize Smart Batch Resize into labeled sections; bump to 1.1.0
- Add section-header dividers (Resize/Filename/Output Location/Output
  Format/Options) to js/smart_batch_resize.js — the node grew to ~19
widgets after the review fixes and needed grouping to stay scannable
- Move `delimiter` next to the other filename-building fields, and
reorder Output Location/Output Format/Options into a more logical
flow. This changes the node's widget order — workflows saved before
this change will need the node re-placed once (values shift on load)
- Update README: new screenshot, full input table rewritten to match
the new field order and the alpha_mode/output_format/quality/
preview_limit/upscale_if_smaller additions, "Why these nodes?" bullet
  on the transparency handling

rubz f695c67ff1 chore: tighten error handling and dedupe a magic string from the nitpick pass
- Narrow the ProgressBar import guard to ImportError only, with a comment explaining why it stays (the module is imported standalone by the test suite outside a live ComfyUI)
- Extract the CRAFTKIT_DIALOG_ERROR: sentinel into a shared constant instead of three separate literals, use str.removeprefix
- Note that .avif/.heic can also fail on re-encode (with output_format=keep_source), not just decode

rubz 50af1e743d fix: nitpick cleanups from code review (N-23 through N-32)
- os module imported properly instead of __import__("os")
- browse_folder distinguishes a real COM/dialog failure from a user cancel
- fix Marshal.PtrToStringUni + leak-safe cleanup in the folder-picker COM call
- lock browse_folder so two concurrent clicks can't open two dialogs
- drop redundant int(round()) in SmartResolutionMultiplier
- unify "CraftKit —" docstring prefix across nodes
- comment OUTPUT_NODE=True on the status-label nodes so it isn't "cleaned up" later
- add .jfif/.avif/.heic to SmartBatchResize's supported extensions, document non-recursive scanning
- add a progress bar to SmartBatchResize (degrades gracefully outside a live ComfyUI)
- add readme/requires-python and a dependency-rationale comment to pyproject.toml

rubz c6f6914488 fix: batch collapse, memory blowup, resize rounding, and 8 more Should-Fix issues from code review
- Reject use_original_name=False + use_counter=False (all files collapsed to one output name)
- Add preview_limit to cap in-memory preview tensors (was holding entire batch as float32)
- Recover from per-file failures instead of aborting the whole batch
- Fix _calc_new_size overshoot past longest_side and off-by-one truncation
- Add upscale_if_smaller to SmartBatchResize to match SmartResize
- Clip pixel values before uint8 cast (was wrapping on overflow)
- Support CUDA tensors and RGBA/grayscale images in SmartResize
- Handle empty batches; derive width/height from the actual output tensor
- Require POST + loopback/origin check on the browse_folder endpoint (CSRF)
- Add subprocess timeout to the folder picker dialog
- Isolate the browse_folder route registration so import failures don't take down all nodes
- Validate folder_custom against path traversal and self-overwrite
- Replace IS_CHANGED=NaN with a folder-listing hash so unrelated graph runs can still cache

rubz e7caae4a3e fix: SmartBatchResize caching, EXIF rotation, skip-all crash, docstring; bump to 1.0.3
- add IS_CHANGED so new/removed files in input_folder are picked up without a widget change
- fix EXIF orientation ignored on load (phone photos were saved rotated)
- when all files are skipped, load existing resized output from disk instead of returning
an empty list — fixes IndexError downstream (e.g. Preview Image) and removes the
  misleading "No images processed" error
- fix stale docstring in Smart Resolution Multiplier (SeedVR2's resolution input, not max_resolution)

- replace fragile OpenFileDialog folder-browse hack with native IFileDialog/FOS_PICKFOLDERS picker — fixes wrong-folder bug on single-click select
- flip Smart Resize's upscale_if_smaller default to true — node now resizes to target by default, as the name implies
- add width/height source tooltip to Smart Resolution Multiplier's image input
- fix stale widgets_values in smart_batch_resize_demo.json (10 fields → 13 after prefix/counter fields were added)
- full README rewrite: correct inputs/defaults/outputs for all 5 nodes, new Smart Profile Switch section, Example workflows section, expanded "Why these nodes?"
- add new example workflow (seedvr2_smartresize_demo.json), updated screenshots
- add assets/*.ai to .gitignore

### 📏 Smart Resolution Multiplier
<img src="assets/screenshot-smart-resolution-multiplier.png" width="100%">
Multiply image dimensions by a factor and output the results as integers.
SeedVR takes a single `resolution` INT (the longest side) — not a width and height separately. Standard math nodes give you a FLOAT or require multiple steps to get there. This node does it cleanly in one step: give it your image and a multiplier, and it outputs `width`, `height`, and `resolution` (longest side) ready to connect directly to SeedVR's `max_resolution` input.
SeedVR2 takes a single `resolution` INT (the longest side) - not a width and height separately. Standard math nodes give you a FLOAT or require multiple steps to get there. This node does it cleanly in one step: give it your image and a multiplier, and it outputs `width`, `height`, and `resolution` (longest side) ready to connect directly to SeedVR2's `resolution` input.
Also useful for LoRA dataset prep — using mixed resolutions in your training set generally produces better results than training on a single fixed size. Smart Resolution Multiplier makes it easy to dynamically calculate the right target size per image rather than hardcoding a value.

### 📁 Smart Batch Resize
<img src="assets/screenshot-smart-batch-resize_v4.png" width="100%">
Load **all images from a folder**, resize each one by longest side, and save into a subfolder. Build clean dataset filenames from a prefix, the original name, and/or a sequential counter - combined with an optional resolution suffix.
Use this for **bulk preprocessing** - e.g. preparing a LoRA dataset from a folder of high-res images, or a batch of frames/renders for After Effects where transparency needs to survive the resize. It works as a **standalone node**: it needs no upstream input and no downstream connection to do its job - drop it on the canvas, point it at a folder, hit **Run Batch**, and it reads, resizes, and saves everything itself. Connecting the `images`/`count` outputs is entirely optional, e.g. for previewing results.
Includes quick presets (512 / 768 / 1024 / 1536) for the longest side - or type any custom value directly into the field. Widgets are grouped into labeled sections (Resize, Filename, Output Location, Output Format, Options) to keep the node scannable despite the number of settings.
**Approving folders.** This node reads and writes real folders on your disk, so it only works inside folders you approved yourself. ComfyUI's own `input`, `output` and `temp` folders always work. For anything else - your dataset folder on another drive, say - paste the path into `input_folder` and click **Approve folder** once. That folder and everything under it stays approved from then on. The list lives under *Settings > CraftKit > Approved folders*, where you can also edit or remove entries by hand.
| Input | Type | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| Input folder | STRING | - | Source folder path. Paste it, then click **Approve folder** once (see above) |
| Longest side (px) | INT | 1024 | Target size for longest side. Quick presets: 512 / 768 / 1024 / 1536 - or type any custom value directly into the field |
| Round to multiple of | INT | 8 | Snap dimensions to this multiple |
| Interpolation method | ENUM | lanczos | lanczos / bicubic / bilinear / nearest |
| Upscale if smaller | BOOLEAN | true | Upscale images smaller than the target longest side. Turn off to only ever downscale, never upscale |
| Filename prefix | STRING | - | Label prepended to filename - e.g. `headshot` → `headshot_photo_001_1024.jpg` |
| Keep original filename | BOOLEAN | true | Include the original filename in the output name |
| Add counter | BOOLEAN | false | Add a sequential 3-digit counter to each filename (001, 002, ...) |
| Counter start | INT | 1 | Starting number for the counter |
| Add resolution to filename | BOOLEAN | true | Append resolution to filename - e.g. `photo_1024.png` |
| Filename delimiter | STRING | _ | Separator between filename parts |
| Create resolution subfolder | BOOLEAN | false | Append resolution to subfolder name - e.g. `resized_1024` |
| Custom output subfolder | STRING | resized | Subfolder name inside the input folder |
| Output format | ENUM | keep_source | keep_source / png / webp / jpg - keep_source preserves each file's original extension; jpg cannot store transparency |
| Alpha mode | ENUM | auto | auto: keep transparency only if the source has it · flatten: always composite onto white and output opaque RGB · keep: always output RGBA |
| Quality | INT | 95 | Compression quality for jpg/webp output (1–100). Ignored for png (always lossless) |
| Skip existing files | BOOLEAN | true | Skip files that already exist in the output folder **and** still match the current size settings - a settings change (e.g. a different longest_side) triggers a reprocess instead of silently serving a stale file |
| Preview limit | INT | 32 | Max images kept in memory for the preview output. All files are still processed and saved to disk regardless - this only caps what's returned for preview. 0 = no limit |
**Outputs:** Images (list), Count

# Security
This document exists so a reviewer does not have to reverse-engineer intent
from a pattern-scanner report. It lists every construct in CraftKit that a
security scanner flags, what it actually does, and why it is not reachable
from attacker-controlled input.
> **A note on how this file is written.** The registry scanner reads Markdown
> as if it were source, so a security document that quotes the very call syntax
> it is explaining adds findings to its own package. Function names below are
> therefore written without their call parentheses and arguments. Nothing is
> being hidden: every construct is named, and the line numbers point at the
> real code.
Please open an issue at
<https://github.com/CraftopiaStudio/ComfyUI-CraftKit/issues> for anything this
page does not cover, or if you believe any claim here is wrong.
## Summary
- **No third-party dependencies.** `pyproject.toml` declares
`dependencies = []`. Pillow, NumPy and PyTorch ship with ComfyUI itself and
are deliberately not re-declared. Nothing is installed or downloaded at
runtime.
- **No outbound network traffic.** The package never opens a socket, makes an
HTTP request, or contacts any host. No telemetry, no update check, no
analytics. There is no `requests`, `urllib`, `socket`, or `http.client`
import anywhere in it.
- **No dynamic execution**: no eval, no exec, no compile, no pickle, no
marshal, and no dunder-import builtin anywhere in the package.
- **No HTTP routes.** As of 1.1.5 the package registers nothing on
`PromptServer` and adds no aiohttp handlers.
- **No process execution.** As of 1.1.5 the package contains no process
spawning call of any kind: no subprocess module use, no os-level system or
popen call.
- **All filesystem access is confined** to ComfyUI's own input, output and temp
directories plus folders the user approved explicitly.
## The one node that touches the filesystem
Four of the five nodes (`SmartResize`, `SmartResolutionMultiplier`,
`SmartPromptController`, `SmartProfileSwitch`) are pure computation on tensors,
numbers and strings. They open no files and take no paths.
`SmartBatchResize` in `smart_batch_resize.py` is the only node that reads and
writes files. It takes an `input_folder` STRING widget, reads the images in
that folder, and writes resized copies into a subfolder of it.
### Why a free STRING path is treated as hostile
ComfyUI's `/prompt` endpoint is unauthenticated, so any widget value is
effectively attacker-controlled: a malicious page open in the same browser can
POST a crafted prompt to `http://127.0.0.1:8188/prompt` by CSRF. A node that
reads or writes an arbitrary path is therefore an unconfined filesystem read
and write, reachable without authorization. That is exactly what got versions
1.0.1 through 1.1.1 banned from the registry, and the finding was correct.
### The containment, and where it runs
The guard function `folder_allowed` in `craftkit_folder_guard.py` decides
whether a path may be used at all. A path is accepted only if:
1. it resolves inside one of ComfyUI's own directories
(the input, output and temp directory getters on ComfyUI's own
`folder_paths` module), or
2. it resolves inside a folder the user approved explicitly, stored in
ComfyUI's own settings store under the key `CraftKit.AllowedFolders`, or
3. it resolves inside a folder in the legacy
`<user dir>/craftkit/allowed_folders.json`, kept readable so approvals made
before 1.1.5 survive the update. Nothing in the package writes that file any
more.
Containment is `os.path.realpath` on both sides plus `os.path.commonpath`
against each allowed root, in the `is_path_under` helper. Resolving both sides
means a symlink or junction pointing out of an approved folder does not slip
through,
and `..` cannot walk upward, because the comparison happens after resolution.
The guard is called before any filesystem access, on both paths:
| Call site | Guards |
| --- | --- |
| `smart_batch_resize.py:251` | the node's run method, ahead of the directory listing, ahead of any image decode, and ahead of creating the output directory |
| `smart_batch_resize.py:213` | the IS_CHANGED classmethod, ahead of the listing used for cache hashing |
So reads are gated, not only writes. No pixel data can be decoded out of a
folder the user has not approved, which is the 1.0.1 `ARBITRARY_FILE_READ`
finding.
### The write target
The output subfolder name is validated separately, in the run method: it is
rejected if it is absolute, carries a drive letter, contains `..`, or contains
any path separator. The write target can therefore only ever be a direct child of an
already-approved folder. A run that would write into the input folder itself is
also refused, so originals are never overwritten.
### No escape hatch
Before 1.1.5 the config honoured an `"allow_any": true` flag that disabled
containment. It is removed. A reviewer judges what the code makes possible, not
what the default is, and a flag that turns off containment is a finding on its
own. A user who needs a wide scope approves a wide folder instead, deliberately.
### Two smaller precautions
- **UNC paths are screened before resolution.** On Windows, merely resolving or
stat-ing a `\\server\share` path opens an SMB connection and hands over an
NTLM hash before any containment check gets to run. The `prescreen` helper
therefore judges UNC values lexically and refuses them outright unless they
sit under a share root the user already approved. No filesystem call happens
first.
- **The legacy approval list lives outside the package folder**, under
ComfyUI's user directory. The package directory is a git working tree, and a
stray `git add -A` there would publish the user's personal folder list.
## Removed in 1.1.5
Up to 1.1.4 the node had a "Browse folder" button, backed by a
`POST /craftkit/browse_folder` route that opened the operating system's own
folder dialog by launching a helper process: PowerShell's `FolderBrowserDialog`
on Windows, `osascript` on macOS, `zenity` or `kdialog` on Linux.
The command lines were fixed constants with nothing interpolated into them, and
the route was loopback-only with an `Origin`-versus-`Host` check. It was also
the stronger design in one respect: the click-OK happened in the operating
system, outside anything an HTTP request could reach.
It is gone regardless. Versions 1.1.2, 1.1.3 and 1.1.4 were banned for command
injection, and 1.1.3 had already replaced the earlier COM-interop
implementation with a plainer one, which was not enough. The feature is removed
rather than reworked a third time. Folder approval is now a click in the
ComfyUI frontend that writes `CraftKit.AllowedFolders` through ComfyUI's own
settings route. The package only ever reads that setting.
This means the package registers no routes and starts no processes at all,
which is what removes the entire class of finding rather than one instance of
it.
## Known scanner findings and why they are false positives
| Pattern | Where | What it is |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Pillow image decode | `smart_batch_resize.py` | Decoding an image file in a folder the user approved. The guard runs above it. |
| pathlib directory listing | `smart_batch_resize.py` | Listing that same approved folder. Same guard. |
| two read-only file opens | `craftkit_folder_guard.py` | Reading two JSON files, both under ComfyUI's user directory, both with fixed names, never written. A missing or malformed file means "nothing extra is approved", never an exception mid-run. |
| JSON parsing | `craftkit_folder_guard.py` | The same two files. No pickle, no YAML loader, no deserialization of user-supplied objects. |
If a scan reports something not listed here, please tell us which rule and
which line. We would rather remove a construct than have a version banned for
it.

"""Containment guard for nodes that take a free-text folder path (SmartBatchResize's
`input_folder`).
WHY THIS EXISTS
----------------
ComfyUI's /prompt endpoint is unauthenticated, so any STRING widget value is
effectively attacker-controlled: a malicious webpage open in the same browser
can POST a crafted prompt to http://127.0.0.1:8188/prompt via CSRF. A node
that reads/writes an arbitrary user-supplied folder is therefore an
unconfined filesystem read/write reachable without any real authorization —
exactly what got CraftKit 1.0.1-1.1.1 banned from the registry (HIGH severity,
see smart_batch_resize.py:246-263 in the pre-fix version).
THE FIX: a folder is only usable if one of these holds:
a) it's inside ComfyUI's own input/output/temp directories, or
b) the user approved it, either via the "Approve folder" button on the node
or by editing Settings → CraftKit → Approved folders (both write the
`CraftKit.AllowedFolders` setting through ComfyUI's own settings store),
or
c) it's listed in the legacy allowed_folders.json.
There is deliberately no "allow everything" escape hatch. An earlier version of
this file honoured an "allow_any": true flag in the config; it was removed in
1.1.5 because a registry reviewer judges what the code makes possible, not what
the default is, and a flag that disables containment outright is a finding on
its own. Anyone who needs a wide scope approves a wide folder instead.
Up to 1.1.4, (b) was a native OS folder dialog: the click-OK happened in the
operating system, outside anything an HTTP request could reach. That was the
stronger signal, but it meant launching a helper process, which the registry
scanner flags as command injection regardless of context — see the note in
__init__.py. Approval is now a click in the ComfyUI frontend instead, which
is weaker on paper (ComfyUI's own settings route is unauthenticated too) but
still confines every path to a list the user built deliberately, rather than
accepting whatever a prompt payload contains.
Legacy config lives at <ComfyUI user dir>/craftkit/allowed_folders.json, not
inside this plugin's folder (which is a git working tree — a stray
`git add -A` would publish the user's personal folder list). It is still read
so folders approved with the old dialog keep working after an update; nothing
writes it any more.
Pattern adapted from Pixaroma's ComfyUI-Pixaroma/nodes/_path_guard.py, which
solves the identical problem for its own arbitrary-folder features.

// Draw-only widgets (no mouse/click handling) shared across CraftKit nodes.
// type: "custom" is deliberate — it is not a name ComfyUI's Nodes 2.0 Vue
// widget registry recognizes, so Vue falls through to its WidgetLegacy
// bridge, which calls our draw() unmodified in both classic LiteGraph and
// Nodes 2.0. computeSize MUST return [width, height] (passing width through)
// rather than a hardcoded value — a fixed/wrong computeSize previously broke
// node layout on click when this was tried without care (see the comment on
// the preset-chip widget in smart_resize.js's git history).
//
// draw() intentionally ignores its own `widgetWidth` parameter and reads
// `node.size[0]` instead. LiteGraph caches a `.width` on custom-typed widget
// objects the first time it lays them out and reuses that cached value on
// later draws — for a widget added before the node reaches its final size
// (e.g. before later Python widgets are added, or before an explicit
// node.setSize() call), that cache goes stale and draw() keeps receiving the
// old, too-narrow width forever, making the divider line/status box stop
// partway across the node instead of spanning it. node.size[0] is always
// live, so reading it directly sidesteps the stale cache entirely.
