Update README.md with:
- Detailed installation instructions (via ComfyUI Manager and manual)
- Clear documentation for new optional parameters (force_reload, force_cpu)
- Model information table showing VRAM usage and performance characteristics
- Comprehensive troubleshooting guide for common issues
- Solutions for model loading errors, CUDA OOM, and performance problems
- Better explanations of node usage and parameters
This documentation will help users correctly install and use the node,
and provides clear guidance for resolving common issues.
This comprehensive update improves the depth estimation node with:
- Robust error handling that continues workflow execution instead of crashing
- Visual error reporting with informative messages displayed on error images
- Intelligent resource management with VRAM usage tracking and requirements
- Automatic fallback to CPU when insufficient VRAM is detected
- Multiple fallback strategies for model loading issues
- Better handling of problematic inputs like NaN values
- Detailed logging for easier troubleshooting
These changes make the node much more stable and user-friendly in
complex ComfyUI setups, preventing workflow-breaking errors.
Implement graceful dependency handling in __init__.py:
- Check for required dependencies at startup
- Display a helpful error node when dependencies are missing
- Provide clear installation instructions to users
- Fallback to simpler implementations when possible
This prevents ComfyUI from crashing at startup due to missing
dependencies and gives users clear guidance on how to fix issues.
This change updates minimum dependency versions in requirements.txt:
- Pillow from >=9.0.0 to >=9.1.0 for compatibility with nodes requiring >=9.2.0
- numpy from >=1.21.2 to >=1.23.0 to resolve numpy.dtypes issues
- transformers set to >=4.20.0 for broader compatibility
The fix resolves conflicts with other ComfyUI nodes while ensuring the
depth estimation node continues to function properly.
This change implements multiple fallback paths for depth model loading, handles both online and offline scenarios, and provides clear error messages for troubleshooting. It maintains backward compatibility while addressing the 'model not found' error.
Update GitHub Action with:
1. Issue creation permissions for tracking
2. Conditional execution in author's repo only
3. Version pinning (v1) instead of main branch
Improves reliability and feedback while fixing org/owner check issue.
docs: add node preview and logo images to README
- Add depth estimation logo in header
- Include node preview image
- Fix image alignments and sizing
- Update markdown formatting
- Added __init__.py to register the custom node properly
- Fixed folder structure for correct module imports
- Updated node file to handle imports based on the environment
This commit adds a new GitHub Action (publish-node-action) that will run whenever the pyproject.toml file changes. The action publishes the custom node version to the Comfy Registry. This setup includes:
- Triggering the action on changes to the pyproject.toml file in the main or master branches.
- Checking out the code using actions/checkout@v4.
- Using the Comfy-Org/publish-node-action@main to publish the custom node.
- Requires the addition of a REGISTRY_ACCESS_TOKEN secret in the GitHub repository settings.
- Sync main branch with the latest updates from the upstream repository.
- Integrate new features and bug fixes.
- Resolve conflicts in `requirements.txt` and `README.md`.
